What is Individual vs. Team Resilience?

Are we missing the most important point?

I woke up this morning and looked at my iWatch.

It was telling me my sleep score.

My recovery score.

My readiness score.

And then it struck me…

I’ve become pretty good at measuring my individual resilience.

So many people these days are chasing resilience.

Sleep trackers.

HRV monitors.

Cold plunges.

Supplements.

The perfect diet.

Everyone trying to become a little stronger.

A little calmer.

A little more optimised.

And honestly… I think that’s great.

Personal resilience matters.

Learning to take care of our mind, body, and nervous system is foundational.

But something about the conversation feels incomplete.

Because almost all of it is happening alone.

One person trying to become more resilient.

And yet when I look at nature… or history… or even great companies…

the real breakthroughs rarely happen alone.

They happen together.

Ant colonies.

Bee hives.

Wolf packs.

Human teams.

Resilience in nature isn’t just an individual trait.

It’s a collective capability.

And I sometimes wonder if we’re missing something.

What would resilience look like

if we stopped chasing it alone…

and started building it together?

Not just stronger individuals…

but stronger relationships.

More trust.

More honesty.

More space to challenge each other and grow.

Because when humans align…

energy multiplies.

Ideas move faster.

And problems that felt too big for one person…

suddenly become solvable.

Together

More on this later...

Warmly, - Rick §;-)
